Summer variety from the Saratov Experimental Garden Station. Obtained by pollinating the 'Sкороспелка Ч' variety with a pollen mixture of the varieties (Bessemyanka + Strana Sovetov + 26-41). Authors: O. D. Berkut, G. V. Kondratyeva, N. V. Bodrov. Included in the State Register for the Nizhnevolsky region. Recommended for introduction into areas where the 'Tonkovetka' variety is grown, as it significantly surpasses it in all horticultural and biological characteristics.
A strongly-growing tree with a dense, broad-pyramidal crown. Recommended as a framework-forming variety for less cold-hardy varieties. Fruit set type similar to 'Tonkovetka': on spurs, spurs, and fruiting branches.
Shoots are slender, straight, red-brown. Buds are sparse and large. Leaves are elongated-oval, short-pointed, curved along the main vein, wavy, light green, with moderately expressed venation. Leaf margin is serrated.
Flowers are medium-sized, with 6 to 12 flowers per inflorescence. Buds are white-pink, with flat corolla, creamy petals, weakly lobed at the edges. Stigma is at the level or below the anthers. Stigmas are free.
Fruits are below average size, weighing 70-80 g. Shape is elongated-pyriform, base color greenish-yellow; covering color orange-red over the entire fruit surface, with many small lenticels. Peduncle is long, thin, curved, with a swelling at the base. Stigma is very small or absent, with slight roughness. Receptacle is half-open, with a small, medium-width, rough plate. Seed cavity is oval, medium-sized. Seeds are elongated, dark-brown.
Flesh is yellowish, firm, juicy. Taste is slightly sour-sweet, without bitterness. Sensory evaluation: 4 points.
Fruits can be stored for one month. Suitable for making jams, compotes, and juices.
Fruit production begins on a strongly-growing rootstock 5-6 years after planting in the orchard. Yield is high, up to 270 centners per hectare, and up to 770 centners per hectare in some years. Cold and drought resistance are high (at the level of 'Tonkovetka' and 'Bessemyanka'). The variety is resistant to fungal diseases.
Advantages of the variety: high annual yield, ecological stability, attractive appearance, suitability as a framework-forming variety for other varieties, ability of fruits to remain firmly attached to branches, their marketability, and long storage life.
Disadvantages of the variety: strong growth.
