Early-autumn variety from the Samara Institute of Horticulture and Medicinal Plants 'Zhigulovskie Sady', obtained by crossing elite Kuybyshevskaya Zolotistaya (Pobeda Ch Polya) and the variety Desertnaya (Alexandrovka Ch Lyubimitsa Klappa). Breeders: S. P. Kedrin, T. M. Kedrina, A. A. Kuznetsov. Approved for the Middle Volga region.
Trees large, with dense, oval, drooping crowns with age. Predominant fruiting types are rings and spear-shaped fruits.
Shoots long, spreading, slightly curved, brownish-brown in color. Leaf buds are rounded and elongated. Angles of primary branch emergence are obtuse. Primary bark on young branches is gray-green (aspen color), resistant to sunburn. Leaves are light green, medium-sized, elongated, with long petioles. Leaf blade is slightly curved along the central vein. Leaf margins are slightly wavy with fine serrations.
Fruits are large or medium-sized, averaging 140 g, with the largest reaching 350 g, elongated-peduncular, bottle-shaped, sometimes asymmetric. Skin is medium-thick, smooth, greenish-yellow when picked and yellow at full ripeness. Some fruits show a slight, diffuse reddish-brown blush. Subdermal dots are small, brown, numerous, in green areolae. Pedicel is long, medium-thick, slightly curved, fleshy at the base. Depressions are absent or very small. Calyx is open, located in a shallow dish with wide folds. Seed cavity is upper, elliptical. Seeds are gray-brown, egg-shaped, with a long tip, often underdeveloped or absent.
Fruit flesh is white, juicy, sometimes coarse, sweet-sour, of good or satisfactory taste, rated 3.8-4.1 points in tasting.
Fruits are ready for harvest in early September and are consumed over a month. Flavor deteriorates with prolonged storage.
Trees bear fruit annually from 5-6 years old. At 7 years after planting, yield is 30 kg per tree. Trees are cold-resistant. At -35°C in early winter, fruit buds are damaged. Resistance to fruit and leaf scab is good.
Bud break and flowering occur later. Higher fruit quality is observed in trees growing on rich chernozem soil.
