Anthracite is a table hybrid early-ripening grape variety obtained by crossing the Victoria and Nadzha AZOS varieties. It ripens in the first half of August, allowing for an early harvest. Bushes are medium-sized with shoots that mature completely and early along their entire length, which promotes good rooting of cuttings and ease of propagation.
Anthracite clusters are large and very large, weighing from 600 to 800 grams, neat and loose, without shot berries. Berries are large, oval-shaped, dark blue or black with a characteristic waxy bloom (pruin). The flesh is firm, and the taste is pleasant and harmonious, making this variety attractive for table use. The grapes are well transported, expanding their realization possibilities.
The variety has good disease resistance, which eases care and reduces the need for frequent application of protective agents. Anthracite can bear fruit on any shoots, which is especially important for growing in northern regions with a shorter growing season. These qualities make Anthracite a universal and reliable choice for grape growers seeking an early and quality harvest.
