Early variety, developed at the North Caucasus Regional Institute of Horticulture and Viticulture by breeders L. M. Sergeev and E. I. Kostetska from a cross between the varieties Panna and Bere Zhiffar. Undergoes State and field trials in Krasnodar and Stavropol regions.
Tree above average height. Round, sparse crown, medium leafiness. Bark on trunk and branches is gray. Branches diverge from the trunk at a 45-degree angle.
Shoots are short, straight, slightly ridged, reddish-brown, with small stipules. Buds are pressed, conical, dark brown. Leaves are light green, curved along the central vein, leaf blade elastic, thin, without hairs.
Fruits are above average size, elongated-pear-shaped, very attractive. Skin turns lemon-yellow with bright blush on the sun-exposed side at maturity.
Flesh is white, oily, juicy, tender, sour-sweet, excellent flavor.
Fruits contain 12.0% soluble solids, 8.4% sugars, 0.5% titratable acids, 4.7 mg/100g ascorbic acid, 66.6 mg/100g raw mass of P-active catechins.
Harvesting period is July 5–10, shelf life 6–10 days.
Trees enter fruiting stage at age 6–7 years after planting in orchards. Yield at age 12 years was 75 centners/ha. The variety is cold- and drought-resistant, and only slightly affected by scab (up to 1 point).
Advantages of the variety: early fruit ripening and high flavor quality.
Disadvantages of the variety: moderate yield.
