Summer variety selected by VNIICiSK, obtained by sowing seeds of the Bere Bosk variety from open pollination, recommended for the North Caucasus region. Breeders: P. D. Yurchenko and T. I. Moskalenko.
Young tree is pyramidal, trunked, medium-sized, with restrained growth rate, later developing a broad-pyramidal crown formed by numerous branches with buds, mostly fruiting on these buds, branch angles 46-60є.
Shoots are long, medium thickness, round in cross-section, yellow-brown, straight, hairless, internodes of medium length. Buds on shoots are offset, conical, with dark-brown outer scales. Leaves are medium-sized, smooth, elongated, elliptical in shape, with broad base and pointed apex, light green in color, leaf margin serrated-toothed. Leaf blade is curved along the central vein, leathery texture, medium thickness, smooth surface, hairless. Petioles are medium length and thickness, detach from stem at 45° angle, with thread-like stipules.
Fruits are medium-sized, symmetrical, pear-shaped. Surface is smooth. Main color is greenish-yellow, transitioning to yellow with blush on sun-exposed side. Peduncle in inflorescence is central, slightly oblique. Receptacle is medium, open, with short subreceptacular tube. Seed chambers are closed. No central cavity.
Flesh is white, creamy, juicy, oily, sweet with slight acidity, outstanding flavor qualities. Chemical composition of fruit: dry matter — 19.2%, sugars — 13.4%, titratable acids — 0.42%, ascorbic acid — 7.4 mg/100g.
Summer maturing variety (mid-August). Fruit maturation is simultaneous.
Partially self-fertile, prone to parthenocarpy. High and regular yields. Variety has field resistance to diseases.
Advantages of the variety: high ecological plasticity, regular yields, high commercial and consumer qualities of fruit. Variety has partial self-fertility.
Disadvantages of the variety: during epidemics, affected by scab by 1 point, cold-sensitive, short storage period.
