Starter

The 'Starter' peach variety is a medium-sized tree with a spreading, moderately dense crown that begins to form correctly starting from the third year after planting. In the first two years, only green operations are recommended, followed by annual formative pruning thereafter. The flowers are rose-shaped, and the flower buds have average frost resistance, which combines with enhanced winter hardiness and resistance to powdery mildew, making the variety reliable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.

The 'Starter' variety fruits mature at the end of July and are distinguished by their large size, weighing from 140 to 250 grams, round shape, and attractive yellow color with a dark red blush covering a significant portion of the surface. The skin is of medium density with delicate fuzz, while the flesh is firm, yellow, juicy, and possesses a pleasant acidic-sweet dessert flavor with a high tasting score. The pit is small and separates easily from the flesh, enhancing the convenience of consuming and processing the fruits.

The variety is characterized by high yield – at 5–6 years of age, one tree can produce from 25 to 30 kilograms of fruits. It is self-fertile, frost-resistant, and drought-resistant, allowing for successful cultivation both in private gardens and on an industrial scale. The commercial qualities of the fruits are high; they transport well and maintain their flavor and external characteristics during transit.
