Peach Otlichnik

Stability and Resilience in Orchard Management

The 'Otlichnik' peach is a result of selective breeding by the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, led by experts Anatoly Smykov and Olga Fedorova. It is designed for growers who prioritize reliable yields and resilience, particularly in regions prone to summer heat and water scarcity.

Maintenance and Operational Efficiency

This is a medium-sized tree, which simplifies daily maintenance tasks such as pruning and harvesting. You do not need specialized equipment to manage the canopy, making the horticultural workflow more ergonomic and cost-effective.

• Drought Tolerance: The variety exhibits high tolerance to moisture deficits. It maintains foliage health and fruit development during high-temperature periods, which is vital for crop consistency.
• Yield Potential: Under standard agricultural practices, each mature tree consistently produces between 40 and 50 kg of fruit, allowing for predictable season planning.

Fruit Characteristics

The fruit features a classic round, slightly compressed shape with an attractive yellow skin. With an average weight of 150–200 grams, these peaches are well-suited for both fresh market retail and commercial processing. The flesh is succulent, offering a balanced sweet-and-sour taste profile with a distinct aroma. Its structural integrity makes it a practical choice for transport and short-term storage, bridging the gap between harvest and the point of sale efficiently.
