The Golden Moscow peach is a mid-season, high-yielding variety developed at the Nikitin Botanical Garden by crossing the Elbert and Salve varieties. It ripens from early to mid-August, allowing for long-term use of the fruit in fresh form. The trees are medium-sized, reaching up to 3.5 meters in height, and have a compact, almost round crown. Fruiting begins in the fourth year after planting, with stable and high yields ranging from 50 to 70 kg per tree. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness of fruit buds and resistance to powdery mildew, making it reliable for cultivation in regions with a moderate climate. Golden Moscow peach fruits are large, weighing from 150 to 180 grams, with a broad oval or round shape. The skin is bright yellow with a carmine blurred blush covering up to 50-75% of the surface, covered with a weak velvety fuzz. The flesh is yellow, dense, juicy, with a harmonious taste combining sweetness and a slight tartness. The pit is of medium size and separates well from the flesh. The fruits have good storage and transportability, allowing them to be used both in fresh form and for making desserts, confectionery items, and canning. For successful cultivation of the variety, it is recommended to choose sunny areas with fertile, light soils and provide moderate watering. Flowering occurs in the late period - from mid-April to early May. Due to high resistance to diseases and frost hardiness, the Golden Moscow variety is low-maintenance and suitable for commercial cultivation. Its stable fruiting and excellent taste qualities make this peach popular among gardeners and consumers.
