The "South Harmony" peach is a medium-sized fruit tree bred by the State Nikita Botanical Garden. This variety is distinguished by high yield and good adaptability to various climatic conditions, making it attractive for gardeners and commercial cultivation. The tree forms flower buds moderately on mixed shoots and fruit spurs, ensuring stable fruiting.
The fruits of "South Harmony" are large, round, weighing from 180 to 250 grams, sometimes reaching 300 grams. They ripen in the third decade of July, about 10 days earlier than the "Redhaven" variety. The fruit skin is yellow with a dense red-carmine blush covering most of the surface, almost hairless. The flesh is yellow, fibrous, juicy, with a pleasant sour-sweet taste and a high tasting score of 4.7-4.8 points. The pit does not separate from the flesh.
The fruits have high commercial value and good transportability, allowing them to be used not only fresh but also for processing into juices and purees. The variety is distinguished by increased disease resistance and above-average winter hardiness, which facilitates care and reduces risks during cultivation. With proper selection of the planting site and timely irrigation, "South Harmony" demonstrates excellent results and high yield, reaching 150 centners per hectare at 9 years of age.
