Pamyat Shevchenka

Pamyat Shevchenka — a medium-early domestic peach variety, officially approved in Kyiv in 1993. The tree is medium-sized with a spreading, rounded crown of moderate density, beginning to bear fruit on the 3rd-4th year after planting. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and moderate resistance to powdery mildew, ensuring stable yields and reliable cultivation in temperate climates.

The fruit is medium-sized, round-oval, slightly flattened on the sides, weighing from 80 to 180 grams. The main color is light cream or green-cream, with a distinctly pronounced blush in the form of streaks and spots covering almost the entire fruit. The skin is thin, elastic, dense, and poorly separates from the flesh. The flesh is white, juicy, with a harmonious sweet-sour taste, which received a high sensory rating — 5 out of 5. The pit is elongated, medium or large-sized, easily separates from the flesh.

The fruit is versatile in use: suitable for fresh consumption, transportation, and processing. It can be used to make jams, jellies, compotes, and juices with flesh.
