The Vita pea variety is a leafy mid-season variety primarily intended for fodder purposes. The plants have a simple indeterminate stem of medium length ranging from 96.5 to 130.9 cm, with leaves lacking anthocyanin pigmentation and ending with tendrils. These tendrils contribute to forming a lodging-resistant stem canopy in mixed crops with cereals. The variety's vegetative period averages 72 days, of which 35 days are from emergence to full flowering and 33 days from flowering to physiological maturity. The variety is characterized by high pod density, forming up to three pods per inflorescence. Vita boasts high yield: grain yield can reach up to 5.4 t/ha, green mass up to 41.3 t/ha, and dry matter up to 6.4 t/ha. During the testing period from 2012 to 2014, the variety demonstrated superiority over the standard Krasnoufimskiy 93 in all major yield indicators. Moreover, the variety exhibits high adaptability and stability, confirmed by the highest general adaptive effect among studied varieties. This makes Vita a reliable choice for various growing conditions. Thanks to its characteristics, the Vita variety is widely used in fodder production, ensuring high productivity and resistance to adverse conditions.
