LUCHEZARNY

The LEGUME LUCHEZARNY variety represents a medium-late type bred at the GUS Falenskaya Breeding Station of the North-East State Agricultural Research Institute. The period from full emergence to cut maturity is about 47 days, and to full seed maturity—up to 98 days. Plants reach a height of 99 to 133 cm and are characterized by good foliation within 46–79%. Seeds are small, round, light yellow in color with a smooth surface and a brown seed scar. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 123 to 184 grams, while the protein content in the grain is 20–26%.

The variety is distinguished by high resistance to shattering and lodging, which contributes to crop retention and ease of harvest. However, it has high susceptibility to bean anthracnose and is also prone to damage from pea moth, which can affect 11 to 18% of grains. Seed yield on experimental plots in the Perm region reaches 16 to 20 centners per hectare, and green mass yield on dry matter is about 45.7 centners per hectare.

LUCHEZARNY is suitable for cultivation in the Volga-Vyatsk region and is intended both for seed production and for use in the food industry. Thanks to its characteristics, it is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality, high-protein peas with good yield and resistance to adverse conditions.
