SEVERYANIN

The SEVERYANIN pea variety is a medium-late variety with a vegetative period of 78 to 96 days. Plants reach a height of 84 to 132 cm and are characterized by medium resistance to lodging, which is 0.6 points higher than the Albumen variety. The peas exhibit high resistance to shattering and medium drought tolerance, making them a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Seeds are spherical with yellow cotyledons and have a 1000-seed weight of 225-290 g. SEVERYANIN is distinguished by high protein content: in dry matter, its level ranges from 15.4% to 26.7%, which is on average 2.8% higher than standard indicators, and in seeds from 26.5% to 28.6%. Pods have very weak curvature and a blunt tip, while flowers are white, with two per node. Stipules are well-developed, and the leaf consists of 2-3 pairs of entire-margined leaflets. The seed scar is closed by the remnant of the funicle, which is a characteristic feature of the variety. Yield of the variety in the Pskov region reaches 14.2 c/ha in seeds and 52.5 c/ha in dry matter, while in some regions, such as the Kostroma region, the maximum dry matter yield reached 137.5 c/ha. However, the variety is susceptible to certain diseases, such as ascochitosis, root rots, and anthracnose, which requires attention during cultivation and the implementation of protective measures. The variety is recommended for cultivation in northern regions, where it shows stable yield and quality indicators.
