BERISEY

The BERISEY pea variety is a medium-maturity leafless seed pea (Pisum sativum L.) developed by the scientific and production agro-holding 'Kurgansemena'. This variety is distinguished by high ecological plasticity and adaptability, confirmed by successful regional adaptation in various regions, including the Volga-Vyatskaya, Middle-Volga, and Ural regions. The vegetative period ranges from 60 to 79 days, and plant height reaches 60-80 cm. The mass of 1000 seeds varies between 160-205 grams, indicating the large-seeded nature of the variety.

One of the key features of the BERISEY variety is its high resistance to drought, lodging, and shattering, making it particularly valuable for cultivation in climates with alternating precipitation and dry periods. The plant's mechanical tissues are well-developed due to a medium stem with a large number of nodes, ensuring reliable resistance to lodging. The variety exhibits high plasticity and heat tolerance, allowing it to maintain productivity even under complex weather conditions.

The BERISEY variety demonstrates high yield, which in some regions exceeds 50 centners per hectare, while the average yield in the Volga-Vyatskaya region is around 26 centners per hectare. The variety's lineage includes hybrids SUZ-1D (VIR k-8712) and the combination Olivier x Usach early-maturing, ensuring stable agronomic performance. Due to its characteristics, the variety is recommended for cultivation in the Kurgan and Samara regions, as well as in the Mari El and Tatarstan republics.
