LAPONI

LAPONI is a mid-maturing winter pea (Pisum sativum L.) variety intended for grain cultivation. This leafless variety is characterized by a vegetation period of 168 to 241 days and plant heights ranging from 55 to 111 cm. LAPONI seeds are round with yellow seed leaves and a light hilum; the mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 181 to 228 grams. The variety has an average number of nodes up to the first fertile node and demonstrates high resistance to shattering and drought.

One of the key features of LAPONI is its high winter hardiness, comparable to the standard Focus, which allows for successful cultivation in the North Caucasus region conditions. The variety is also resistant to Fusarium (race 1) and other adverse abiotic factors, contributing to stable and high yields. The average yield of the variety in the region is 24.1 centners per hectare, which is 3.7 centners higher than the standard Focus variety, while maximum indicators reach 35 centners per hectare, as recorded in the Krasnodar Krai.
