KAMELEON

The KAMELEON pea variety is a high-yielding, mid-season variety with yellow seeds, distinguished by its high protein content — from 22.6% to 26.2%. Plants reach a height of 50 to 83 cm, and the 1000-seed weight varies between 217-264 g. The vegetation period ranges from 64 to 82 days, making this variety suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including moderate-climate regions such as Germany, England, France, as well as Voronezh and Kursk regions of Russia. The variety is leafless, which facilitates harvesting and reduces yield losses.

KAMELEON exhibits high resistance to lodging and shattering, significantly reducing harvest losses and ensuring uniform seed maturation. The variety shows drought resistance comparable to standard varieties and is resistant to major diseases, including ascochytosis and gray mold, although it is susceptible to root rots. Due to these characteristics, this variety is recommended for organic farming and is suitable for use in the food industry, feed production, and for improving soil structure.

The KAMELEON variety is recommended to be sown early, with seed depth of 4-5 cm and seeding rate of 0.8-1 million seeds per hectare. It is characterized by a prolonged flowering period and ability to withstand low temperatures during germination, making it a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality pea harvest.
