Pea Helium

Stable Yields within Short Timeframes

The «Helium» pea variety from the German breeding company P.H.Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard is an excellent choice for farmers focused on reliability and predictability. In modern agriculture, where every day of the growing season counts, this variety offers an ideal balance between rapid maturation and yield potential.

Agronomic Profile

The hallmark of «Helium» is its short vegetation period, ranging from 70 to 80 days. This growth intensity allows the crop to effectively utilize early spring moisture, avoiding peak summer heat and the drought risks often associated with the second half of the season. The medium stem height ensures harvest efficiency, minimizing grain loss when using standard combine harvesters.

Advantages and Practical Application

• Stability: P.H.Petersen genetics are engineered for endurance, which is crucial for regions with fluctuating weather patterns.
• Efficient Cycle: The short growth cycle provides the flexibility to clear fields in time for subsequent crops or optimal winter sowing.
• Technological Ease: Due to its moderate height, the plant maintains good lodging resistance, simplifying field operations.

It is important to note that the variety requires adherence to seeding rates to ensure a uniform stand. «Helium» is optimal for farming operations aiming to mitigate risks while achieving high-quality yields in a short window. It is a robust asset for crop rotation, combining premium German breeding with adaptability to European agro-climatic conditions.
