Pea FERO

Reliable Yields in Short Growing Seasons

The Fero pea variety from the German breeding company NPZ Lembke is a strategic choice for farms focused on maximizing productivity in tight production windows. With a maturity cycle of just 70–80 days, this variety offers an efficient way to clear fields for double-cropping or to ensure an early harvest when market prices are often most favorable.

Fitosanitary Resilience

Bacterial diseases often pose a significant threat to legume yields, especially in humid conditions. NPZ Lembke has engineered Fero with a specific focus on genetic resistance to bacteriosis. This built-in defense mechanism makes Fero stand out from standard varieties that often require heavy fungicide programs, allowing growers to reduce chemical input costs and adopt more sustainable agricultural practices.

Agronomic Profile

Fero features a medium plant height, which is ideal for mechanized harvesting. The stem structure provides the necessary resilience to prevent lodging—a common challenge that leads to significant yield losses in pea production.

• Efficiency: A short 70–80 day maturity period helps dodge late-summer droughts.
• Disease Resistance: High tolerance to bacteriosis ensures consistent grain quality even in challenging years.
• Harvestability: Medium height combined with structural integrity ensures minimal losses during mechanical harvest.

Fero by NPZ Lembke is designed for producers who prioritize predictability over volatile potential. It is a no-nonsense variety that provides stable performance, simplifying field management while maintaining high profitability standards in competitive farming regions.
