EURIKA pea is a non-shattering field pea with pink flower color. The plant is of medium maturity, with a vegetative period ranging from 64 to 105 days depending on climatic conditions and the growing zone. Plant height varies from 50 to 115 cm. Pods contain 3-4 seeds, have a slightly curved shape with a blunt tip and a parchment layer. This variety is characterized by high endurance and drought resistance, making it popular for use as a cover crop and fodder plant. Moreover, EURIKA pea is a good honey producer.
EURIKA pea can be consumed as food, however, preliminary cooking is recommended, as consumption in large quantities may be toxic. The origin of the variety is associated with Russia, while production and packaging are carried out by the agrofirm "Eureka". Peas belong to the legume family (Fabaceae), species Pisum sativum.
