Pea CAZACHOK

Stable Yields: «Kazachok» Pea Variety by «Franz»

The «Kazachok» pea variety, distributed by the «Franz» brand, has established a strong market presence due to its versatility and predictable productivity. This seed material is the result of extensive breeding efforts by an international consortium, including «Semko-Junior» and research entities across Australia, the United Kingdom, and France. This diverse geographical background has instilled in the variety a high level of adaptability to various agro-climatic conditions.

Biological Traits and Seed Quality

«Kazachok» is a medium-height crop favored by farmers for its ease of mechanical harvesting and lodging resistance. Particular attention should be paid to the thousand-seed weight (TSW) metrics, which are critical for planning seeding rates and assessing potential yield. According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the variety demonstrates consistent pod filling:

• The TSW range varies from 180 to 260 grams, allowing farmers to adjust agronomic practices based on soil fertility and moisture availability.
• The high protein composition makes this variety highly sought after in both the food industry and compound feed production.

Practical Application

The preference for «Kazachok» stems from its balanced development. The medium height of the stem is optimal for creating a sturdy crop canopy that avoids shading lower tiers and promotes uniform pod ripening. In modern farming, this variety serves as a reliable tool, capable of minimizing losses during threshing. Professional agricultural operations highlight that utilizing high-quality seed from the «Franz» brand reduces risks associated with uneven germination, ensuring consistent and uniform crop stands across the entire field.
