The «Ramonsky 06» pea variety is the result of the breeding program conducted by the All-Russian Research Institute of Sugar Beet and Sugar named after A.L. Mazlumov. This variety is built upon a strategy of early maturity and high resistance to key phytopathogens typical of intensive farming systems.

Biological traits and vegetation

The vegetation period of the variety is 90–100 days. This timeframe allows for the efficient use of moisture during the spring-summer period, avoiding the peak drought events that often limit yields. The average plant height contributes to optimal distribution of photosynthetic activity, which directly impacts pod development.

Phytosanitary reliability

One of the primary challenges in pulse crop cultivation is fungal infection. «Ramonsky 06» demonstrates clear resistance to:

• Plant rust, which is critical for maintaining leaf surface area.
• Ascochyta blight, preventing premature wilting and yield losses during the pod formation stage.

Calibration and seed productivity

The genetic potential of the variety allows the weight of 1000 seeds to vary from 180 to 240 grams, depending on the agricultural background and soil moisture availability. Such variability provides agronomists with the flexibility to adjust seeding rates based on specific seasonal conditions and field fertility.
