Zabiyaka

The Zabiaka onion is a late-maturing variety with flat-round bulbs weighing from 80 to 100 grams. The bulbs are dense, with 2-3 dry scales of dark brown color, while the juicy scales are white with a greenish tint. The onion has a semi-sharp taste, and the neck is thick with 1-2 buds. This variety is recommended for growing as an annual crop from seeds on garden and vegetable plots, as well as in suburban and farm enterprises.

Seeds of Zabiaka onion can be sown directly into the open ground at the end of April to the beginning of May at a depth of 1.0-1.5 cm. To obtain larger bulbs, the seedling method is used: seeds are sown for seedlings in March, and seedlings are planted in the open ground at the beginning of May with a recommended planting scheme of 5-7 per 10-15 cm. The onion adapts well to various climatic conditions, requires moderate watering and sufficient daylight.

The Zabiaka variety is valued not only for the quality of its bulbs but also for the possibility of growing greens. The onion is rich in vitamins and minerals, making it beneficial for health. It is widely used in cooking for preparing salads, vegetable dishes, and as an aromatic additive to various dishes, thanks to its pleasant semi-sharp taste.
