Onion Poker

Italian Standards for the Fresh Market

The chive variety "Poker" from Cora Seeds S.R.L is a professional-grade solution for growers focused on the fresh herb segment. Unlike standard spring onions, this hybrid produces dense, succulent bunches that are perfectly suited for salad kits and retail pre-packaging.

Agronomics and Performance

When managed with proper cultivation techniques, "Poker" demonstrates stability and a high yield potential of up to 50 tons per hectare. Its maturity period of up to 90 days allows farmers to plan a continuous production cycle, ensuring a steady supply of fresh product throughout the growing season.

• Manual Harvesting: The structure of the leaves and the density of the clusters make this variety well-suited for manual harvesting, ensuring minimal handling damage and superior market presentation.
• Salad Market Focus: The variety's primary value lies in its tender leaf texture and balanced, mild flavor, making it highly sought after by the food service industry and supermarket chains.
• Perennial Crop: Its rapid regrowth capacity after cutting allows for multiple harvests per season, maximizing land use efficiency.

Choosing "Poker" is a commitment to proven Italian genetics, where the focus is not just on volume but on the overall aesthetic and quality of the finished product. Growers favor this variety for its consistent performance and ease of preparation for market distribution.
