SENSHU YELLOW GLOB

Senshu Yellow Glob Onion is a winter variety of bulb onion that differs in high yield and good adaptation to various climatic conditions of Russia. It belongs to medium-early varieties with a period from germination to harvest of about 100-110 days. The bulbs have a flat-round shape, average size from 18 to 24 mm in diameter and mass from 90 to 110 grams. The covering scales are colored golden-bronze or yellow, and the succulent scales are white with a greenish tint. The onion taste is semi-sharp, which makes it universal for consumption fresh, for salads and pickling.

The variety has high winter hardiness and resistance to bolting, which ensures a high percentage of survival during winter planting. Senshu Yellow Glob Onion differs in high storability and transportability, which allows storing the crop for several months without loss of quality. It is low-cloved, forms one bulb per clove, which simplifies harvesting and increases marketability of the product. The variety is recommended for cultivation in all regions of Russia where winter onion is practiced, including northern and central areas.

For cultivation, autumn sowing of seeds is recommended with a planting rate of 1.1-1.3 million seeds per hectare. Irrigation is carried out as the soil dries out. Senshu Yellow Glob Onion is resistant to diseases and pests, which reduces the need for intensive chemical treatment. Due to its characteristics and universality, this variety is suitable both for farms and for personal subsidiary plots.
