Description VORONEZH 86
The onion variety Voronezh 86 is an early-maturing vegetable plant bred by the Voronezh Vegetable Experiment Station. This variety is recommended for growing bulbs both as a one-year crop from seeds and as a two-year crop from sets. The bulbs have a round shape with a slight tapering towards the neck and weigh from 48 to 60 grams. The dry skins are colored yellow with a light brownish tint, while the juicy parts are white. The onion has a sharp taste, making it popular for various culinary purposes.

The yield of the Voronezh 86 variety is approximately 1.5-1.6 kg per square meter, which corresponds to a marketable yield of about 150-155 centners per hectare. After after-ripening, the maturity of the bulbs reaches 91-100%, indicating high quality maturity of the produce. The variety has good storability and is suitable for winter storage, allowing for use for a long time after harvest.

However, it should be noted that Voronezh 86 has low resistance to diseases, especially downy mildew, which requires careful care and preventive measures during cultivation. The variety is approved for use in various regions of Russia, including Central, Central Black Earth, Western Siberia, and Eastern Siberia, confirming its adaptability to different climatic conditions.
