Barusso F1 onion is a late, high-yielding hybrid of bulb onion developed by Syngenta Seeds from the Netherlands. It is intended for cultivation in open ground under various agroclimatic conditions and is characterized by high adaptability, enabling rapid adaptation to environmental changes and care. The hybrid forms large, dense, and uniform round bulbs with dark bronze-brown coloring and glossy sheen. Each bulb weighs up to 250 grams. The onion has a moderately bitter taste with slight sweetness, making it versatile for fresh use, hot dishes, canning, drying, and freezing.
Barusso F1 has a prolonged vegetation period, approximately one week longer than the Bosco hybrid, and is suitable for mechanical harvesting and sorting. The onion retains its market appearance for about 7 months, making it in demand both on fresh markets and for processing.
