BYLINA

Onion 'BYLINA' belongs to medium-maturing crops with a maturation period of 115-125 days. The bulbs have a round shape with a downward lean, are dense, with dry purple-red scales and juicy maroon-red or dark red scales. The average bulb weight ranges from 150 to 190 grams, and the taste is pleasant, semi-sharp, closer to sweet, making this variety particularly attractive for fresh consumption and in salads. The leaves are light green and tubular in shape, while the flower stalk can reach a height of up to one meter, ending in a umbel inflorescence with flowers on long pedicels.

The 'BYLINA' variety is recommended for growing for storage in annual culture from seeds. Sowing seeds in open ground is carried out at the end of April – early May at a depth of 1.0-1.5 cm, and to obtain larger bulbs, a seedling method is possible: sowing for seedlings in March and planting in early May. The recommended planting scheme is 5-7 cm between plants and 10-15 cm between rows. The variety is characterized by stable commercial yields with productivity indicators ranging from 162 to 540 centners per hectare, and in some regions reaches a maximum of 660 c/ha.

'BYLINA' possesses high resistance to infections, good transportability and excellent fruit preservation, including in a frozen state. Onion stores well for more than five months, which allows for its use for a long time after harvest. The variety's frost resistance reaches -27°C, which expands its cultivation possibilities in various climatic conditions.
