Carrot Karmen

Focusing on Early Yield and Processing

The «Carmen» carrot from PP «Agrosvit» is a go-to choice for producers prioritizing quick inventory turnover. As a classic Nantes-type hybrid, it reaches market maturity in just 60–70 days, allowing growers to hit the market significantly earlier than their competitors. This makes it an excellent candidate for farmers specializing in early-season retail or those seeking reliable raw materials for the food processing industry.

Form and Color Balance

The standout feature of «Carmen» is its unique blend of bright orange and deep yellow pigments. This visual appeal makes the produce pop on retail shelves. Its conical shape, ranging from 15–20 cm in length, is considered the industry standard for mechanized washing and packaging lines, ensuring the carrots move through sorting equipment with minimal bruising or damage.

Why Choose This Variety?

• Food Processors: The dense texture of the root ensures low wastage during mechanical peeling operations.
• Market Growers: The short vegetative period provides the flexibility to plan for a second crop on the same plot within a single season.
• Storage: Despite being an early-maturing hybrid, it shows solid potential for short-term storage, helping growers avoid price slumps during the peak harvest period.

Grower's note: Like all early-maturing varieties, «Carmen» requires careful water management. Sudden changes in soil moisture after a dry spell may cause cracking; therefore, consistent drip irrigation is recommended to achieve the best results. It is a precise tool for professional growers aiming for predictable yields on a tight schedule.
