Divina Star F1 Red Winter Onion is a medium-maturing hybrid of winter red onion developed by the Italian seed company Cora Seeds. This variety is distinguished by its high yield and stability, making it attractive for cultivation under various climatic conditions. The plant is vigorous, with a well-developed root system and large, upright dark-green leaves, ensuring good winter hardiness and disease resistance. Seeds are recommended to be sown at the end of summer — from mid-August to late September — to allow the plants to strengthen before cold weather arrives. The optimal seeding density is 0.8–1 million seeds per hectare. Divina Star F1 bulbs have a round shape, uniform and evenly arranged, with a dense and juicy internal structure. The outer dry, hard scale is dark burgundy or rich red, while the inner flesh is succulent and crisp. A distinctive feature of this variety is the presence of colored rings inside the flesh and low pungency, giving the onion a semi-sharp, pleasant, and rich flavor. Thanks to these qualities, the onion is ideal for fresh consumption as well as for salads, marinades, and hot dishes. The maturation period of Divina Star F1 onion is approximately 250–270 days from emergence. The onion can be stored for up to 4 months, retaining its flavor and market qualities.
