Description GAVROSH
Gavrosh spring oat variety represents a mid-early and medium-height naked oat without pericarp chaff. It differs in medium grain size with a 1000-grain mass within 23-32 grams and high natural density of grains from 540 to 660 g/l. The variety's vegetation period is 65-83 days, allowing it to mature 6-11 days earlier compared to the Pomor variety. Gavrosh is resistant to lodging and powdery head blight, ensuring yield stability and high grain quality. The average yield of the variety in growing regions reaches 18.0 c/ha (or 2.5 t/ha), with maximum indicators up to 6.6 t/ha. The variety is valued for its high protein content in grains, ranging from 13.9% to 17.5%, making it particularly attractive for feed and food use. Due to its characteristics, Gavrosh is recommended for growing in the North-Western and West-Siberian regions. Studies conducted in Western Siberia showed that sowing dates significantly affect yield and amino acid content in Gavrosh grains. Early sowing dates contribute to increasing yield by 25.9–29.6%, while late sowing dates contribute to increasing essential amino acid content. This indicates the variety's flexibility in adapting to various agrotechnical conditions and the possibility of optimizing grain quality depending on sowing dates and moisture supply conditions.
