GOLETZ

Spring oat variety GOLETZ® is a naked semi-early variety intended for high yields and quality grain. The plant is of medium height with a semi-upright bush, featuring a two-sided awn with semi-erect or horizontal branch placement and drooping ears. The grain of the variety lacks hulliness and has weak or absent awniness, increasing its value. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 20 to 27 grams, and the grain natural density is 540-690 g/l. Protein content in the grain ranges from 16.2-19.8%, making the variety valuable in terms of quality.

Variety GOLETZ® has good resistance to lodging and drought resistance at the level of medium standards. It shows weak susceptibility to crown rust and medium resistance to bacterial burn, but is susceptible to powdery mildew. The vegetative period is 73-92 days; the variety matures a few days later compared to Tyumen naked oat. The maximum yield recorded in the Irkutsk region reached 46.2 c/ha, while the average yield in cultivation regions is about 17.2 c/ha.

Studies showed that variety GOLETZ® is promising for cultivation in southern regions such as the Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Republic of Khakassia. The variety is distinguished by synchronous ripening, non-shattering grain, and increased resistance to lodging. Optimal sowing dates significantly affect weediness, while sowing rates do not significantly affect yield. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, oat GOLETZ® is a reliable choice for agricultural production on various soil types.
