URAN

The spring oats variety "URAN" is a mid-early hulled variety intended for grain and feed use. It is characterized by large grains with a mass of 1000 grains ranging from 32 to 42 grams, a high natural weight of grain — 460-570 g/l, as well as a protein content of 9.5-14.5%. The variety is distinguished by resistance to powdery and hard head smut, as well as high resistance to lodging and shattering, which contributes to preserving the harvest and grain quality.

"URAN" has an increased productivity potential and high grain quality. The maximum grain yield recorded in 2018 was 6.79 tons per hectare. The grain is well-sorted (94.2%), hulled (26.1%), and has a high flour yield — 62%. Additionally, the fat content in the grain reaches 3.44%, starch — 44.0%, and the porridge taste is rated 4.5 points, confirming its high food quality.

The variety is recommended for cultivation in the West Siberian region, specifically in Omsk Oblast and the Republic of Altai. It has moderate drought resistance and is adapted to adverse environmental conditions, making it a reliable choice for agricultural production in the indicated regions. Inclusion in the State Register since 2014 confirms its significance and effectiveness in agricultural practice.
