The sorghum variety 'Morozko' is characterized by a medium-maturing development type and demonstrates stable vegetative mass yield. According to research results, the yield of this variety is approximately 26.5 t/ha of raw mass, slightly lower than some other varieties, but the yield of dry mass is one of the highest among medium and late-maturing varieties — 16.7 t/ha. The cellulose content in 'Morozko' plants is also at a high level, making it promising for use in biofuel production and other industries where biomass quality is important. The hemicellulose content remains stable and does not depend on the variety, while the iron concentration in the plants exceeds zinc concentration by more than two times. Cultivation of the 'Morozko' variety under optimized technologies allows increasing seed yield, which is an important factor for selection and further propagation of the crop. The variety demonstrates sufficient productivity even with prolonged use, although its profitability is lower than some other varieties, such as 'Kanlow' and the control variety 'Cave-in-Rok'. The cost of producing 'Morozko' crop is approximately 366 UAH/ton, with a profitability rate of 66.8%, indicating its economic feasibility. Overall, 'Morozko' is a reliable representative of sorghum with good agronomic characteristics, high content of valuable components in biomass, and potential for use in biofuel production. Its medium-maturing period allows effective planning of crop rotations, and the stability of yield indicators makes this variety attractive for farmers seeking a balance between productivity and economic efficiency.
