Description AUGUSTIN
Augustin F1 melon is a mid-season hybrid of the pineapple type with a maturation period of about 63-68 days from germination to the onset of fruiting. The plant is characterized by high growth vigor and a semi-vining type, with a powerful root system and leaves of medium to large size in green color. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in open ground and under temporary shelters, demonstrating high adaptive ability and resistance to stress conditions, including sharp temperature fluctuations.

Augustin melon fruits have an oval or oval-rounded shape, weighing from 2.5 to 3 kg. The fruit skin is dense, elastic, rich yellow in color with a slight orange tint and evenly covered with a clearly expressed net of linear or reticulated structure. The flesh is thick, white, tender, juicy, and highly aromatic, with a sugar content on the Brix scale from 12 to 13%, which ensures a sweet and rich flavor.

The Augustin F1 hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to Fusarium wilt and powdery mildew, which contributes to a stable harvest. With proper agronomy and the use of drip irrigation, from 4 to 6 fruits form on one plant. The fruits are well transported and maintain their consumer qualities for a long time, which makes this variety attractive for commercial cultivation and marketing.
