Eldorado melon is a mid-early hybrid variety that ripens 60-70 days after sowing. The fruits have an oval shape and feature a variety of colors: ranging from yellow with a netted rind to brown-yellow of the pineapple type. The weight of one fruit varies from 1.5 to 6.5 kg, depending on the specific variety. The melon flesh is tender, juicy, and sweet, with a cream or white shade, possessing a pleasant aroma of medium intensity, which is especially vivid immediately after harvest. This hybrid is characterized by high heat tolerance and complex resistance to diseases, making it a reliable choice for growing in various climatic conditions. The plant requires sunlight and constant heat, as well as careful care. For growing Eldorado, a seedless technology is applied with direct sowing in two terms. Thanks to the high level of groundwater, watering is not mandatory, and fertilization is carried out with foliar fertilizers such as urea, humates, and microelements. Eldorado melon is capable of bearing fruit until the cold without losing taste qualities, which allows extending the harvest season. Despite resistance to a number of diseases, plants may be susceptible to root rot and attack by melon fly, so proper care and prevention are important. The fruits are characterized by high transportability and an attractive appearance, making them in demand both for personal consumption and for sale. It is recommended to consume the melons immediately after harvest to enjoy their rich aroma and freshness.
