Pilot is an early-maturing zucchini variety, distinguished by high and stable yields. The plant is bushy, predominantly female-flowering, with semi-vining growth and no branching. Leaves are of medium size, light green with moderate speckling and cut shape. Fruits are large, cylindrical or bullet-shaped, ranging from 30 to 40 cm in length and 7-10 cm in diameter, featuring a smooth, rich dark green, almost black skin, sometimes with spots and rare speckling. The mass of one zucchini varies from 0.8 to 1.7 kg. The flesh is creamy, firm, tender, and moderately juicy, possessing an excellent taste and containing a high amount of minerals and vitamins. For successful cultivation of the Pilot variety, choose well-lit areas with fertile soil and sufficient moisture, as the plant is heat and light-loving but sensitive to frost. Sowing in the ground is recommended in late May to early June to avoid damage to seedlings by cold, or grow seedlings and plant them after the threat of frost has passed. The optimal planting scheme is 100x100 cm. To improve pollination and increase yield, it is recommended to plant the Amulet hybrid nearby, which serves as a good pollinator.
