Description PUCHKIN
Puckhkin amurensis is a Russian selection variety characterized by large berries with a tart-sweet taste and rich aroma. The fruit skin is thin, smooth, and has a medium waxy bloom, while the flesh is tender, making the berries pleasant to eat fresh or when making compotes, jams, or desserts.

The Puckhkin bush is of medium height with a flat-rounded decorative crown and is easy to grow in all regions of the country - from northern to Far Eastern. It is undemanding, winter-hardy, and disease-resistant, ensuring a stable yield of 1.7-3.5 kg per bush annually. Berries ripen at the end of the second decade of June, and autumn flowering is sometimes observed.

The variety is suitable for both decorative use - as a living hedge and garden decoration - and practical application: a source of vitamins, especially C (64 mg/100 g), 8.6% sugars, and 2.2% acids. The average tasting score is 4.4 out of 5. Thanks to its growth versatility and ease of care, Puckhkin has become a popular choice for both private gardens and commercial plantations.
