Nympha is a medium-ripening honeysuckle variety that attracts gardeners with its large berries and rich blue skin color with a waxy coating. The fruits have a slightly curved shape, about 3 cm long, with a mass of approximately 1.2 g, and with proper care, one bush can yield up to 1.5 kg of berries per year. The flesh is tender, sweet, and aromatic, completely free of bitterness, making the berries suitable for both fresh consumption and storage – they withstand processing and freezing well without losing taste qualities.
The Nympha bush differs with a vigorous structure, upright, sturdy shoots, and a round, slightly spreading crown. The leaves are dark green, and the crown is oval, giving the plant a decorative appearance throughout the season. The self-sterile nature of the variety allows it to be grown in pairs with other honeysuckle varieties, such as 'Amfora', ensuring a more stable yield.
Nympha is valued not only for its taste but also for its beneficial properties: 100 g of berries contains about 1.5 of the daily norm of magnesium for an adult and is rich in vitamins C, B12, RRP, as well as amino acids and flavonoids. Thanks to these properties, the berries are suitable both in the diet of ordinary consumers and in dietary nutrition, while maintaining their attractive appearance and aroma.
