Edible honeysuckle of the Bakcharskaya variety is a vigorous bush with a spreading or upright form, reaching a height of up to 1.5 meters and a crown diameter of about 70 cm. The leaves are long, thin, and green. The berries of this variety are large, weighing up to 1.5 grams and measuring up to 2 cm in length; they have an elongated-oval, sometimes asymmetrical shape with a rounded top. Their color is dark blue with a slight waxy bloom, while the flesh has a pleasant sour-sweet taste with a tonic and refreshing effect, as well as a delicate aroma. The fruits are arranged in compact and abundant clusters, which facilitates harvesting, and the berries do not drop off but are easily separated during collection.

The Bakcharskaya variety is characterized by high yield—up to 4 kg per bush—as well as an early ripening period, starting from the third decade of June. It is resistant to external climatic factors, possesses high frost resistance and immunity to diseases and pests, making it low-maintenance.
