GZHELYS LATE – a blueberry honeysuckle variety bred by L. P. Kuminov, distinguished by large pear-shaped berries of dark blue shades with a blue bloom and rich aroma. The berries are juicy, sweet, and hardly drop off, making them particularly valuable for dessert use.
The bush grows as a medium-sized, compact shrub with straight, non-fuzzy shoots of pink coloration. It exhibits high winter hardiness and moderate drought resistance, as well as good heat tolerance, allowing it to be grown in various climatic conditions, including the Moscow region.
Yield is about 2 kg per bush, with later ripening providing a long harvest period. The fruits contain vitamins and useful substances, and the absence of bitterness makes them ideal for fresh consumption or dessert preparation.
