Daylily Orion

Practical Cultivation Guidelines

The «Orion» daylily, developed by the Pryluky Research Station (UA), is a robust choice for landscape management. It offers a reliable bloom height ranging from 50 to 80 cm, allowing for versatile layering in beds and borders. Its 12 cm flower diameter makes it a bold focal point for any garden design.

Maintenance and Operational Tips

• Light Requirements: This variety is designed for full sun exposure. To ensure the vibrancy of its yellow, red, and orange palette, avoid shaded areas where the plant would stretch and lose color saturation.
• Maintenance and Care: The plant is low-maintenance. Deadheading spent blooms is the primary operational task to keep the display neat. The plant requires division only every 5–7 years, significantly reducing the labor involved in long-term maintenance.
• Watering and Soil: While hardy, the plant requires well-drained soil. Avoid waterlogging at all costs to ensure healthy root development. A simple mulch layer in the spring provides the necessary nutrients for the season's heavy blooming.

«Orion» represents a high-efficiency planting choice. It does not require complex winter protection, making it highly suitable for diverse climatic conditions. Its structural integrity and aesthetic impact make it a staple for any professional-grade flower bed or decorative row planting.
