Tulip Air

Exotic Aesthetics for Your Garden

The 'Air' tulip is not just a plant; it is a true work of art within the parrot tulip category. Its main visual distinction lies in the complex geometry of the petals: they are deeply fringed, with wavy edges and a specific "shaggy" texture reminiscent of tropical bird plumage. Unlike classic cup-shaped varieties, 'Air' captures attention with its unpredictable, expressive form.

Color Balance and Biological Traits

The color palette of this variety is a harmonious blend of crisp white and deep purple. The contrast between these shades is softened by smooth transitions and subtle veining. Its mid-season flowering period makes it an excellent "bridge" between early and late-blooming crops, ensuring continuous aesthetic appeal throughout the season.

• Type: Parrot — for enthusiasts of unconventional, sculptural forms.
• Height: Medium — ideal for mid-border planting or container gardening.
• Hardiness: Like most parrot varieties, 'Air' requires protection from strong winds, which can damage the large, delicate petals.

This variety is perfect for professional gardeners and collectors who value statement plants. It is less suited for mass landscaping due to its specific environmental requirements (it needs a sheltered, sunny spot), but as a cut flower or a focal point near a patio or relaxation area, 'Air' remains unrivaled in its decorative impact.
