Daylily Carthage

A Landmark of Ukrainian Selection

The 'Carthage' (Karfagen) daylily is a distinguished achievement of the M.M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In the decorative plant market, this cultivar is recognized for its impressive resilience and adaptability, traits honed through years of development in local climatic conditions.

Architectural and Visual Impact

Reaching a height of 100 cm, this daylily serves as a strong vertical element in garden design. The standout feature is its complex color palette: the petals feature an intricate blend of yellow, white, red, and orange tones. This vibrant color interplay ensures the plant remains a focal point of any landscape throughout its bloom cycle.

Landscape Applications

• Flower Bed Design: Its stature and form make 'Carthage' an excellent choice for the mid-to-back sections of mixed borders and perennial flower beds.
• Ground Cover Capability: With its robust root system, it effectively fills space, helps suppress weed growth, and provides long-term decorative ground cover for larger landscape areas.
• Ornamental Use: Highly valued for its durability and low maintenance, this variety is equally suitable for private residential gardens and professional landscaping projects.

By selecting 'Carthage', you are choosing a proven, high-performance hybrid that reflects the strength of Ukrainian botanical research and provides consistent seasonal beauty.
