Daylily Honey-sweet

Ukrainian Breeding Excellence

The 'Medova Nasoloda' (Honey Delight) daylily is a testament to the rigorous breeding standards maintained by the Kryvyi Rih Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. Developed to thrive in demanding climatic conditions, this cultivar is highly regarded for its exceptional winter hardiness, surviving temperatures as low as -35°C. Unlike many imported hybrids that require heavy winter protection, this variety is fully adapted to the temperate continental climate.

Morphological and Biological Traits

This daylily features a robust growth habit, with mature plants reaching between 50 and 80 cm in height, depending on site conditions. True to its name, the bloom color evokes the warm, rich tones of honey. A standout characteristic of this cultivar is its extended ornamental value: the active blooming period spans 90 days. Furthermore, the plant possesses the trait of repeat blooming, ensuring that the display remains vibrant well into the late season.

Landscape Integration

• Flowerbeds: Its consistent form and size make it an ideal choice for the mid-layer of perennial borders.
• Ribbon Planting: The plant's architecture is perfectly suited for creating clean, uniform lines in landscape design.

To ensure optimal performance, 'Medova Nasoloda' requires full sun exposure. Direct light is crucial for both the depth of color and the longevity of individual blooms. This cultivar represents a reliable choice for professional landscapers and gardeners alike, offering a proven local solution that combines aesthetic appeal with extraordinary climate resilience.
