Daylily SUN SMILE

A reliable bright accent for your garden

If you are looking for a low-maintenance daylily that can survive tough winters without any fuss, the "Smile of the Sun" (Ulybka Solntsa) by FANTZA is the perfect choice. This variety consistently delivers: whether planted in full sun or partial shade, it thrives and produces steady, vibrant results.

Blooming and dimensions

The main strength of this daylily is its "sunny" yellow color. The large blooms, ranging from 12 to 15 cm in diameter, are highly visible from across the garden. The flowering period lasts for 90 days, keeping the plant looking fresh for an entire season. The height varies between 50 and 80 cm, which gives you flexibility when planning your landscape design; it works well as a mid-ground or background focal point.

Winter hardiness and maintenance

The best feature for a practitioner is its cold resistance, down to -40°C. This eliminates the need for complex winter covers, which is critical in harsh climates. Maintenance is straightforward: timely watering and standard fertilization are all it takes. The flower stalks are sturdy and do not lodge, and the bloom diameter remains consistent throughout the season. While it does not offer repeat flowering, the 90-day marathon of bright yellow petals more than compensates for it.

• Winter hardiness up to -40°C: tested in extreme environments.
• Large blooms: 12–15 cm of vibrant yellow.
• Versatility: performs equally well in full sun or partial shade.
• Stability: consistent, long-lasting performance throughout the 90-day bloom cycle.

This is a true workhorse plant for those who love aesthetics without the extra labor.
