Tulip Ayaks

Reliability and High Yields for Commercial Production

The "Ajax" tulip, belonging to the Triumph class, is a staple for growers who prioritize predictability and health in their planting schedule. Known for its mid-season blooming, this hybrid is favored for its robust resistance profile, effectively withstanding common threats such as powdery mildew, downy mildew (peronosporosis), ascochyta, and various root rots. For a production site, this translates into lower pesticide dependence and higher survival rates during humid growing seasons.

Practical Management and Cultivation Strategy

Integrating "Ajax" into your crop rotation allows for high-quality cut flower production. The plant reaches a medium height, making it ideal for standard mechanical harvesting and easier to pack without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. The distinctive bi-color red and white petals are highly sought after in the wholesale market for their visual impact and post-harvest shelf life.

• Reduced Protection Costs: The natural resilience of this variety decreases the necessity for intensive chemical intervention, saving labor and input costs.
• Production Scheduling: Its mid-season status helps bridge the gap between early-blooming varieties and later cultivars, ensuring consistent supply.
• Market Readiness: Uniform plant height and reliable growth patterns facilitate rapid sorting and processing, minimizing labor at the grading stage.

For best results, "Ajax" should be planted in well-drained soil, ensuring the bulb remains healthy through its growth cycle. Whether for landscape design or as a primary crop for the flower market, this hybrid provides the stability needed to ensure a profitable yield.
