Daylily PAPER MOON

Aesthetic Appeal and Landscape Durability

The 'Paper Moon' (Bumazhnaya Luna) daylily, developed by the Nikita Botanical Gardens (NBS-NNTS RAS), is specifically adapted for environments with intense summer sunlight and fluctuating moisture levels. Unlike more demanding foreign cultivars, this variety exhibits high resilience to temperature swings, making it an excellent candidate for regions with distinct climatic seasonality.

Practical Applications in Landscape Management

• Spatial Zoning: With a height range of 50 to 100 cm depending on soil fertility and irrigation, this variety functions effectively as a tiered landscape element, ideal for the mid-ground or background of flower beds.
• Slope Stabilization: The robust root system of this daylily allows it to be used for stabilizing minor slopes and preventing soil erosion in garden environments.
• Lighting Flexibility: The variety is versatile regarding light requirements; it retains the intensity of its yellow petals in both full sun and partial shade, which is crucial for under-canopy landscaping.

The practical value of 'Paper Moon' lies in its low-maintenance profile. It does not require annual lifting and boasts a high vegetative propagation rate, enabling the rapid development of dense decorative clusters. To achieve the maximum height of 100 cm, it is recommended to plant in fertile, well-drained loamy soils and provide consistent irrigation during the budding phase.
