Daylily Galaktika

Functional Landscaping and Cultivation

The «Galaktyka» daylily, developed by the Kryvyi Rih Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine, is a high-performance ornamental variety designed for impactful landscape design. Its distinctive color palette—featuring deep purple petals with a vibrant yellow throat—serves specific aesthetic and structural purposes in professional gardening.

Agronomic Utilization

• Weed Control and Ground Cover: The variety forms dense, robust clumps that naturally suppress weed growth in tree rings and mixed borders, reducing the need for mechanical weeding.
• Soil Stabilization: Due to its deep and resilient root system, «Galaktyka» is an effective choice for reinforcing slopes and preventing soil erosion in municipal parks and private landscapes.
• Climate Adaptation: Being a product of Ukrainian selection, the plant shows excellent winter hardiness and local climate adaptation. It requires minimal intervention, with basic irrigation and occasional pruning being sufficient for sustained decorative performance.

This variety is highly recommended for projects where visual impact must be combined with low-maintenance requirements. It is a reliable choice for sustainable gardening, requiring minimal chemical protection due to its inherent biological stability.
