Tulip Asiram

Reliability and Aesthetics of the Asiram Tulip

A classic in spring gardens, the Asiram variety holds a firm position within the Triumph tulip group. Its primary value for professional floriculturists lies in its predictability: this mid-season bloomer forms saturated red goblets that retain their structural integrity even during erratic spring weather.

Strengths and Key Features

The main differentiator of Asiram from other red Triumph varieties is its pronounced resistance to a complex of common diseases. Unlike many competing varieties that require intensive fungicide protection, this hybrid demonstrates high tolerance to anthracnose, downy mildew, and powdery mildew. This makes it an optimal choice for high-density planting, where the risk of rapid pathogen spread is critically high.

• Biological Profile: A medium-height variety, simplifying maintenance and minimizing stem lodging.
• Color Palette: A pure, deep red shade with no unwanted undertones, highly sought after in landscaping and forcing.
• Health: Reduced dependency on chemical treatments allows for optimized cost management of the plot.

Who is this variety for?

Asiram serves as a reliable tool for both commercial flower growers and private garden enthusiasts. Due to its medium height and sturdy stem, the variety is perfect for decorative flowerbeds and cut flower production. Its only drawback is the necessity for strict crop rotation: despite its disease resistance, soil health management remains essential after the tulips are harvested.
