Rudanochka

Rudanochka is a rhizomatous perennial plant belonging to the lily family, widely used in gardening since 1890. It forms strong hedges capable of growing in both full sun and partial shade. The plant's leaves are fan-shaped, reaching up to one meter in length and 2-3 cm in width, with central leaves arranged vertically and outer ones curved. The foliage retains its green color until frost, ensuring the plant's decorative appeal for an extended period. The flower stems are sturdy and upright, reaching heights of 110-120 cm during bud formation. The flowers have a reddish-brown hue with numerous rusty veins and a thin stripe down the middle of the petals, which are peach-colored. The flower throat is densely yellow. The inflorescences are terminal, composed of up to 20 widely open flowers with a diameter of 10-12 cm and a slightly wavy edge. The flowering period is abundant and lasts from mid-July for 35-40 days. Rudanochka is known for its winter hardiness, low maintenance requirements, and longevity. It adapts well to various soil types, including waterlogged soils, and tolerates both abundant and sparse watering. The plant is rarely affected by pests and diseases, requires infrequent transplanting, and can maintain its decorative appearance in one location for 10-15 years.
